Statement Regarding United States Tariffs - Updated 09-11-2025
UPDATE -- 09/11/2025
We have resumed shipping to the United States through FedEx.
What does this mean for American customers?
Immediately we have to add a service charge to US orders until we can get accurate shipping costs added to the site. The service fee is still considerably less than the blanket tariffs added on through the USPS system. We are working to get this charge removed as quickly as possible.
This is a new service for us, and as such we do expect to need to iron out minor issues as they make themselves known. Please be patient with us and email info@geargutsmekshop.com if you notice any peculiarities with your order. We will get to work on handling the issues right away.
Thank you for your understanding and patience with us as we work to find solutions for a very unconventional e-commerce issue.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As of August 29, 2025 we will be suspending orders to the United States until the De Minimus Exemption returns or the USPS creates a system that can accurately apply tariffs.
Models and toys manufactured in Canada are exempt from tariffs but the USPS does not have a system that can accurately apply the exemptions, so we are left footing a bill that is considerably higher than the price of the products that are being purchased. We just cannot justify doing this as a majority of our sales come from the United States.
We have gone ahead and cancelled and refunded all outgoing orders to the United States until a solution is found. We apologize for any inconvenience at this time.
STL Digital Files are still exempt at this time, and we appreciate all of our digital service clients in the United States that make purchases and help us keep the lights on at GGMS during this trying time.
We will keep everyone updated as the situation develops.
